The new FMBB NEO Filter series consists of 3 different compact 2-stage filter designs. The 3 filter designs (Design C, Design D and Design F) are characterised by a high symmetrical and asymmetrical attenuation. The FMBB NEO filter Design C attenuates potentially strong conducted interferences. Design D is laid-out for the attenuation of high frequency interferences, whereas the Design F is designed more for low frequency noise attenuation. All designs come up with a high insertion loss performance. The FMBB NEO one phase filter is dimensioned as a 250 VAC filter at a rated current of 1-36 A according IEC and 125/250 VAC, 1-30 A according UL/CSA. The connection to the filter is made by quick connect terminals or with bolts and nuts, style M4. Optional flexible wire leads are available on request.
The compact NEO designed EMI-Filter is intended for use in industrial applications such as frequency converters, stepper motors, UPS-systems, current converters. On request medical versions with leakage currents of < 80μA (M80) respectively < 5μA (M5) are available. The series is ENEC and cURus approved and is qualified for use in equipment according IEC/EN standard 60950.
The series combines an IEC C14 or C18 inlet with line filter in various mounting styles. With the addition of the flexible wire and PCB versions SCHURTER has again expanded its range of filtered power entry modules for low and high current applications.
The EMI filter is dimensioned as a 1-stage filter for rated currents up to 15 A with a leakage current standard <0.5 mA and medical <5 μA. The positive electrical contact of the broad metal flange to the chassis ensures optimal filtering and shielding.
Mounting options include screw-on, rivet or snap-in mounting. The snap-in mounting style as well as the screw-on version from rear side with its pre-formed threaded holes reduces labor costs. The PCB mount version is available with optional snap feet to safely fasten the unit on the printed circuit board. The flexible wire leads provides pre-assembly for easy and fast installation.
The 5120 is designed for use in IT, medical and industrial applications. The series is ENEC and cURus approved and complies with IEC/EN standards for office and medical equipment, 60950 and 60601-1 respectively.
The 5003 features a standard DC connector, offered in two different connector styles. The connector is encased with a 1-stage filter for currents up to 15 A at 125 VDC. The unit mounts to the equipment enclosure with a broad metal flange, thus providing a large contact area for optimal shielding and filter efficiency. The PCB mounting style version is available with optional snap feet to safely fasten the 5003 on the printed circuit board. The flexible wire leads allow an easy, fast and cost saving installation. Screw-on, snap-in and rivet mounting options are offered. The rear mount type with pre-threaded holes, as well as the snap-in, are designed specifically to reduce assembly time and save labor costs.
The series is ENEC and cURus approved and complies with IEC/EN 60950, standard for office and IT equipment. Applications include telecom and IT infrastructure equipment, data encryption machines but any other DC supplied equipment in industry automation.
Modern solar inverters, that use MPP (maximum power point) trackers, generate disturbances into both the grid’s AC power line, as well as the DC side of the solar module. An AC filter is normally used on the grid’s AC power line, but the noise generated on the DC side tends to be overlooked. EMC standards EN 61000-6-3 and EN55014-1, however, also put limits on the noise generated from lines not connected to the grid, such as for example the line to the solar panels. Meeting these limits can be achieved by using a DC filter on the DC side of the inverter.
Large solar inverters installed in electrical installations will generally require a cooling system. Components which provide high temperature resistance simplify the system and reduce the energy needed to cool. The FMER SOL filters are designed for rated currents from 25 A to 1500 A at 55°C ambient temperature, and voltages up to 1200VDC. The filters are cURus and ENEC approved up to 75°C ambient temperature, with corresponding reduced rated currents.
The FMER SOL DC filters are designed with screw clamps for types up to 150 A and copper bars for types upwards of 250 A. Other types of connections, such as wires or copper bars <250 A, are available on request. Small adjustments can also be made to the electrical circuit or to the filter housing on request.
